My precious, sweet little boy is now a crawling little man. He is loving being on the move, hes not that fast yet..luckily, but he is going. Alina is loving it, she thinks its great that he can go go go. She also now thinks brother can give her "horsey" rides. We're working on that one. Hes so much fun though, hes such a great baby. He turned 8 months old on the 11th, can you believe it?! Holy crap.

I had my interview last week..it went VERY well. I should find out soon if I got the job or not. I hope I do get it. If I don't thats fine..I know a few other places that are hiring and want me..so either way I will have a job soon. Whoo-hoo!

We are making and decorating sugar cookies tomorrow which should prove to be entertaining. I'll post pics of the disaster...*ahem* I mean the results. LoL.

The kids may get in to modeling soon. Who knows. An agency is looking at their pics...I should hear back soon.

Here are some pics of them from today:

Tony-boo:

Alina Marie:

Christmas tree in the museum here in Omaha, yes thats my DH in the corner. Yeesh.

Secondly- to anyone whos actually still checking up on my blog, sorry that I haven't updated lately. I'll do better. I'm sure someone will remind me!

So things have been crazy around here. I'm trying to find a job and it looks like DH is going to be a stay-at-home-dad while I work. At least until a day care becomes available that is. Way to switch rolls huh? LoL. Its going to be so weird leaving my babies while I go to work though, I am not really ready to do that at all, but someone needs to make money around here. I was so upset at myself though today. I had to take a test for the job I wanted and I had to get 5000 keys per hour (kph) for 10-key data entry. Well I've been practicing and practicing and today I took the final test. I got 4,834 kph. Can you believe that? I was SO freaking close. I guess I am meant for a different job. Everything happens for a reason.

The kids are doing great. Tony is almost ready to crawl. He keeps getting up on his hands and knees and rocking like he wants to take off. I'm not ready for my baby to start to crawl or walk for that matter! *tear* Hes doing so great though, hes a great little boy. Always happy and smiling. He wakes up every morning and from naps the same way, happy and talking. Alina however is a grump. Shes my high-maintenance child. Shes still constantly sick and pretty miserable. Poor kid is only 21 lbs as of today. Shes a smart little girl though. Shes picked up many words she shouldn't know, some Spanish and knows her numbers through 15. Shes always cracking us up. :)

Anyway, thats a quick update from here. More later!

Oops.

Sorry I haven't posted much. Its been crazy trying to adjust to having my husband home finally. Hes been home just over a month I can't hardly believe it. The kids are growing like crazy. Alina is potty training herself which is nuts, I am shocked about that. She has to go the hospital seeing as she got a blister on her foot and it got infected. Oy. Plus shes having a ton of sleep issues, its stressful. Tony is still a wonderful baby, even though hes teething. Hes trying to roll over currently, but hes too lazy. He will get halfway there and give up, silly kid. Hes 4 months already! Its not fair!

Here are some pics/videos of the kids, I'll write more later!

http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=10941&cdate=20060808&ctime=170226 <---Alina dancing, its precious.

Tony smiling:

Ok mom, enough.

Enough mom!

Being cute, both kids

Wow, its just been over 17 weeks..its nuts! I talked to him this morning and our flight was delayed, but thats no worries...he'll be home by the end of the week!

Happy 4th everyone!

Pictures

Here are the pics that I promised of the kids, they are getting SOOO big!

Oy vey

Today is just one of those days where I'm really really missing my hubby. I don't know maybe its because tomorrow is offically 3 months since he left, or time is just going too slow before he comes home. Either way since last night I've been crying off and on and just sad. He can't come home soon enough thats for sure. This weekend our friends Robert, Jamie and Ryan have been helping me get the house in perfect order for the homecoming even though its a couple of weeks away. Once its all perfect and stuff I'll have to take pics and show ya'll, I love my house. Its a 3 bed, 2.5 bath, 2 car automatic garage fully carpeted house. I'm gonna miss it when we leave, thats for sure.

The kids are doing wonderful. Alina is growing up so so fast. This week she started saying "please" and asking for stuff, its quite sweet. I actually have video of her doing it, heres the video:
http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=10941&cdate=20060530&ctime=215329

Shes a cute lil' punkin when she wants to be. Tony is doing great as well hes smiling and cooing, which is cute as can be. I'll post pictures soon.

I better get back to cleaning, oh joy. I hadn't realized it'd been that long since I updated my blog. I'm sorry! Adjusting to life with two kids instead of just my troublesome toddler has been keeping me busy as all get out.

Well we are 10 weeks into this deployment now, with about 4.5 to go. I can't believe that my husband will be home in just over a month. Thank you to all of you BIO moms who have helped and supported me through this deployment, I really really appreciate it. I am so so so so excited to have him coming home soon!!!! I am nervous as well, we've gotten adjusted to him being gone and just doing our own thing..it'll be hard to adjust him into our schedule. He is so excited to come home too, he can't wait to meet his son.

The kids are doing pretty good. Miss Alina is talking up a storm lately. She is a flirt too, let me tell you. When we were in the ER a couple of weeks back she was laying there miserable until she saw a Marine come in, she perked up smiled and told him "hi." What a flirt. Dustin is going to be amazed when he sees her next. She shocked me today at lunch though. I was eating a roast beef wrap on a spinich tortilla and Alina had a chocolate chip cookie to munch on for a treat. She actually threw her cookie on the floor to get the tortilla, surprised me. I was proud of her though.

Tony is alright. I can't believe he is a month old already! Hes holding his head up and starting to make sounds now, its soo cute. We just got out of the hospital with him. He spiked a fever on Saturday night so I took him to the ER. Because he is so young the hospital didn't want to take any chances that it could be something serious so we were admitted and they started doing blood work and a spinal tap on him. We just got outta there this morning since a few of the tests take two days to get the results back. He has something viral related and was dehydrated, and after a few days of IV fluids he is doing much better. Hes up to 9 lbs 3.2 oz's and is a really great baby.

Well I better go cook some dinner, oh joy. Will update more with pics later!

Things are better!

Well things are as good as they can be concidering. We are 3.5 days into this deployment, hubby is officially in Iraq now and I'm not a bawling mess, I think thats an accomplishment. The first few days I just sat in my PJ's and didn't do much of anything, I was a bum. Today I actually got both Alina and I ready and went out and met some friends for dinner and had a good time. It was nice to be out of the house for a bit. I need to realize that I'm stronger than I think I am and quit being such a baby about this. It sucks hes gone but crying and pouting isn't going to do anything to bring him back, so I just got to get us onto a new "normal." He'll be back in 4 months at most, I can do that. Once baby John comes I'll be so busy the time will fly, at least I hope so. Right now its just waiting for another phone call from him, I just am looking foward to hearing his voice again. Its weird talking to him and knowing he is halfway across the world from me. Like right now its 1137 pm, for him its 1037 am. Its crazy.

So Alina is being a pill lately. I don't know what is going on with her honestly, and I wish I did. She will yell and cry and when I pick her up she starts hitting me, scratching me and everything else. I don't know what going on and its making both of us so frustrated. I just wish she'd get over these fits. I don't know how to help her, and noone can really give me any advice. I'm pretty beat up from her, its not fun. Sometimes shes the sweetest little girl, and then a few minutes later she can turn into a little monster. I feel bad describing her like that but I don;t know another way to put it. Its frustrating. Any tips?

So I have an OB appointment tomorrow, lucky me. We'll find out if I'm dialating anymore. Part of me hopes so, these contractions are getting ridiculous. The other part hopes not 'cuse I'm really not ready for him yet. I mean I have everything, but I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle having two kids. Plus I still need to finish washing everything!

Wow, now I'm rambling. I'm gonna go get some ice cream and relax. Hopefully ALina will chill out soon.

Questions...

9 lasts:
last cigarette: Sometime last year
last beverage: Water
last kiss: Yesterday saying goodbye to hubby. :(
last movie seen: Walk The Line, I loved it.
last phone call: My friend Laura called to check on me
last cd played: Rascal Flatts- Feels Like Today
last bubble bath: I can't even remember
last time you cried: This morning

8 have you evers:
have you ever dated one of your best friends: Yes, I married him too.
have you ever skinny dipped: No
have you ever kissed somebody and regretted it: Yes
have you ever fallen in love: A couple of times
have you ever lost someone you loved: Yes.
have you ever been depressed: Yes
have you ever been drunk and thrown up: A couple yeah.

7 states you've been to:
1. He called me earlier in the evening to let me know he was on the East Coast, and would be flying to Europe in a few hours. I can't believe hes actually gone, I knew it'd happen I just wasn't ready for it yet. I didn't think it'd be as hard as it has been thus far. I know it'll get easier in the next couple of days, its just getting through the next couple of days that are going to be difficult. I'm glad I have friends around and online to help get us through this next few days. Alina realized earlier this evening that daddy wasn't coming home and she lost it. Poor thing. I wish there was a way to let her know and understand that daddy is only gone for a short time, he'll be back soon. She is so sweet though, I was crying earlier and she came over and hugged me. I'm glad I have her this time around, it'll make things so so so much easier, in a way at least. Here it is nearly 1 am and I'm still awake. I just don't want to go upstairs and realize the bed is empty. Its too hard and too depressing.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be so depressing...I'll be fine in a couple of days, I just got to figure out how to cope with all of this.

This sucks.

This sucks. Night before last Alina was hacking up a lung in her sleep and kept sounding like she was going to be sick at any minute, so I couldn't sleep at all. At about 6 am I started to doze off and had her cuddled up to me and she felt really really warm. Dustin didn't think it was all that bad, but I had this feeling it was and I took her temp. It was 101.5. Not good. I knew the ER wouldn't do much if her temp was below 102 so I was going to wait until 7 to call the hospital and get in for an acute appointment. At 0645 I took her temp again so I could give the nurse an exact temp to put in the computer for her appointment. This time it was 102.7. I freaked. I woke Dustin up, told him we were taking her to the ER right then and that was that. I went downstairs and had one of our friends that is living with us go grab her while Dustin got up and got his uniform on. (I wish I could have but I'm not allowed to pick her up anymore. =( ) I took my Zofran when I got downstairs as well since I was feeling pretty ill myself. Anyhow- Dustin called work, shaved and we took off to the ER, thank goodness we live about 7 minutes away from the Base Hospital. We got there, they took her history and her temp which was now 103 even. They gave her some motrin to bring down the fever and then brought us back into a room. Doc saw us pretty quickly and did the normal- checked her lungs, asked us what was going on and checked her ears. Poor girl has a double ear infection. Her very first ear infection ever and she gets it double. After we were discharged from the ER we went to the Pharmacy and picked up her perscriptions. She is on 4 meds now- Amoxicillin, Benadryl, Motrin and some ear drops. She is starting to do better now finally, shes still miserable though. At least she doesn't fight me to take her meds, shes really good about that.

In other news we are still waiting to find out if Dustin is deploying or not with the unit. One of his higher ups was made aware of the fact that I'm having PTL problems and sat down and talked with him about it. Pretty much everyone we know doesn't expect me to make it much longer in this pregnancy, including me. I can just feel that its getting close and its honestly terrifying to me. I just want to know if I will have my husband here or not. I'm told to not stress about anything, but honestly how can I not? Sheesh.

Anyways, talk to ya'll later!

Alina Pictures!

Pics from this weekend of the princess:

Crazy, crazy weekend.

Wow, what a weekend! We've been on the go pretty much all weekend. Friday night DH, Alina and I all went out to dinner at a local restaraunt, The Rib Company. Pretty good food...I forgot how huge beef ribs are though. Holy hell! Anyway, we got up early Saturday morning and headed out to Palm Springs to go to Toys-R-Us and get the stuff we needed. After spending half the day in L&D on Friday I was fully determined to get all of the stuff done this weekend come hell or high water. So anyway we get up to Toys-R-Us (it was DH, Alina, my MIL and me) and start shopping. We find Alina's toddler bed almost immediatly, and lucky us....it was only $79 in store, and it had an $8 off coupon with it as well! So we went to go find the carseat we wanted, (the Graco Safe Seat) and they didn't have the stage 1 version, only 2. So we tried for the bassinet, no luck there either. Couldn't find the toddler bedding set we wanted, either. Blah. Ended up getting a couple more things for Alina though. (Including a Dora the Explorer couch and a pillow.) Then went to Target and found out they had the carseat, just not in that store at the moment. Blah. Didn't have a bassinet either. Double blah. SO we drove to the other Target in town and picked up the carseat, some new shoes for Alina and a couple other things. It was getting late by this point so we came home. Got her new bed set up and found out we didn't have the complete bedding set. Blech.

Sunday my MIL left, so we said good bye to her. :( It was nice having her here, but its also been nice having our house to ourselves again. We went to a yard sale near by and they were selling a queen size pillowtop mattress, boxspring, frame and head/food boards for $150, so we bought that and some Disney movies we didn't own. Alina's friend Gabbi turned 1 on Saturday so we went to her birthday party on Sunday, that was fun. Alina got all hyped up on cake and ice cream, but she hadn't had a nap all day so she crashed. Got home, relaxed and enjoyed some peace and quiet.

Today we got up, got ready and went to head off to Ontario to go to the Babies-R-Us out there. Our friend Robert was going to come with us, but was sick so he stayed back. Got onto the I-10 and traffic was backed up like nothing else. Took us 3.5 hours to get to Ontario (Its normally an hour and a half drive.) Anyway, we got there and went shopping. Got the Bassinet I wanted so bad (Its by First Years, called the Carry Me Near 5-in-1 sleep system.) Also got Alina a Princess toddler bed set, got her a new outfit, got the movie Cinderella and also got baby boy 2 new outfits.

After we got home we put stuff together, so now it looks like we're actually about ready to have him. Yipes! I can't believe how close its getting!

Update on me and baby..

Well after my trip to L&D earlier this week, things haven't calmed down that much. I saw the OB at the NH one last time on Weds, and things went alright there. The nurse/midwife I saw wasn't concerned about the pre-term labor stuff at all, said it was normal. Checked the baby and sent me on my way. I made an appointment with my new doc off base and saw her on Thursday. Thus far I'm not fond of my new doc at all and I'm working on getting my hospital switched to the one in Palm Springs. I told her my history and what was going on with everything including the PTL. She told me that since it was my second baby that the dialating/effacing were completely normal and it was nothing to worry about. Also I was informed that I was not to go to the L&D on base anymore since I was disengaged from that hospital for my pregnancy. I told her I was still having the contractions quite a bit, and asked what I should do if they started getting to be more frequent and intense. She told me that I was to drink two large bottles of water in an hour, and if I wasn't peeing every few minutes, then I knew what was wrong and to just drink more water, and don't worry about going into L&D at either hospital there is no need for that. She also wanted me to wait another 3 weeks before coming in again. After being there and meeting her I just didn't feel comforatable leaving my OB care in her hands and I spent most of the day today getting that taken care of.Today Dustin and I spent most of the day running around the hospital trying to get the hospital switched to the one in Palm Springs. The patient rep we worked with was great and helpful and finally got everything on the right track for us. She also had me go up to L&D to get checked out and see how everything was. As I knew, I was contracting pretty often, not too severe but they were coming up on the monitor. The baby is doing fine, his heartrate was perfect. I was dehydrated yet again and so I got hooked up to an IV again. They gave me another shot of the same stuff I had on Monday night to stop the contractions and also gave me a perscription of procardia to help with stopping the contractions. I haven't dialated or effaced anymore at this point, but who knows what could happen in the coming days. I'm on orders not to be picking up Alina much at all and to take it easy, and of course drink a ton of water. Though they understand that with the hyperemesis being the way it is that isn't gonna be very easy for me and I'll more than likely end up in the hospital again. I'm also not to go to the L&D anymore unless its an emergency. I also have to keep my appt with the new doc on the 9th of March, unless my referral comes in before that and I can get seen at Desert Regional sooner.

Also I should have some new pics of miss Alina tomorrow, we're picking up her new toddler bed.

Labor and delivery trip the other night, MIL visit and all that fun jazz..

Wow, its been a bit since I've written, sorry everyone! I really have been meaning to write more, but its been one of those weeks already.

Our trip out to Arizona was pretty fun, we enjoyed our vacation. I missed my online friends though, it woulda been nice to be able to hop online and play for a few just to relax a little. It was a bit crazy for a few days, but it settled down about the time we left for the most part. Though hubby and our friend Laura were witnesses to an attempted carjacking, which wasn't so great. Hubby used his Marine training and aided the guy that got shot in the arm. I was proud of him for helping out, but it freaked me out that he was SOOOOOO close to a shooting like that. We got home Saturday evening and have been pretty much on the go since then. Its non stop around here lately, seriously its absolutely nuts!

So....yeah, I had a trip to Labor and Delivery already. That was not fun, I went on Monday. I started having what I thought were braxon-hicks contractions on Saturday evening, I figured it was just the stress of travelling all day and left it at that. Then I had more on Sunday, figured it was the stress of that day. (We went to get Alina's toddler bed that evening, Toys-R-Us closed at 7 pm! They used to close at 8 or 9, punks. Plus we found out her crib was among those recalled and we couldn't find a toddler bed anywhere, it was a LOOOONG night.) Anywho, Monday I was in -so- much pain, and I spent most of the day laying down and drinking water. DH and I got a shower that evening after he got home from work and the pain still didn't stop. I finally gave in and let Dustin take me into L&D to get checked out. I was hoping that it was just false labor and I'd be sent home. Nope, got there at 945 pm and didn't get released until about 330 am. They watched me for a bit and there wasn't much going on, just a few little blips here and there. Doc decided to check me for dialation and of course take the samples for testing for labor in the next week and infection. I thought he'd say that I was completely closed and that'd be that. After a ton of pain he says "1 cm dialated, 25% effaced and that the baby was in mid position." Greeeeeeeeeeat. So I get monitored for a while longer, have to do the whole pee in a cup thing (blah) and basically just sit around. Doc comes and checks me again, notices that there are some actual decent contractions coming up on the monitor, so I get the dialation check again. Oh joy. This time I was 1 cm dialated, 50% effaced and baby was at -3 station. Not good....at all. They figure out I'm dehydrated and hook me up to an IV, which took for-freaking-ever. I now am bruised all over my arms. They also give me a shot of tourbuline to stop the contractions, which was not comforatable. So while I sit there getting fluids pushed through me Dustin and I watch 'The Corpse Bride' which was actually pretty cute. 2 bags of fluid later, the contractions had stopped and they were happy. Baby moved back up a little bit, but I"m still dialated and at 50% effaction at this point. I've been discharged and told to take it easy. We got home and Alina was crashed out, our friend was babysitting her. Had to have hubby up for work by 7 am, and then Alina got sick and got a trip to the ER. She is fine now, just had a stomach bug. SHes back to her normal crazy self.

I see my new doctor tomorrow for the first time, so hopefully things haven't progressed anymore since being in Labor and Delivery. I will update ya'll after my appointment. Hopefully I"ll come back with good news.

So my MIL came in to visit on Tuesday, she'll be here until Sunday. Alina's loved having her around, as have I. My MIL and I get along so wonderfully so its nice when she comes and visits. Its been fun having her here thus far, shes been able to give me a break when I needed it and let me relax as much as I can.

Not much else going on here. I will update everyone tomorrow when I get back from my appointment (which is at 145 pm PST.) Have a good evening all!

What a day!

I remember now very well why I hate being pregnant. Its miserable for me. I'm still sick with hyperemesis, plus I have acid reflux problems that are worse. Will it ever end?!?! I hope so, I'm not sure how much more I can take of this!

So....we are supposed to be headed out to Phoenix, AZ right now, but as you can see...I'm writing on here, so thats not happening. Hubby was tired when he got home, I felt like I've been run over so we just decided to wait 'til morning to leave. Besides we leave early morning and there is a good chance Alina will sleep a good part of the ways there, which would be a big help. Plus we aren't even close to done packing for the trip. I should be doing that now, but I'm gonna wait until I eat something first.

I had a 28 week OB appointment today. What a joy that was. *rolls eyes* I am measuring fine, a little on the higher end of average, but still not too bad. Hopefully he won't be too big of a baby! He was driving the poor midwife crazy, she'd just get the heartbeat and he would start moving and getting away from her, took her like 3-4 minutes to get his heartbeat. Went down to the lab to get blood drawn, that sucked. My veins are ruined from the beginning of this pregnancy where I was being IV'd all the time and the ER kept screwing them up. Took her a couple tries to actually get the one tube of blood, it was not fun. Went and picked hubby up from his class for lunch, and we relaxed and had a nice lunch, which is always nice. After I dropped him back off at work, I went and did the 1 hr glucose tolerance test. Blah. I hate that stupid test. I know its for a good reason, but it still sucks. I chose the lemon-lime flavor, its the best of them IMO. Went wandering around the hospital while I waited to get my blood drawn yet again. Had to go see the anetheseologist, since I have scoliosis and asthma. Thus far everything looks good and I'm good to go on getting an epi when I go into labor. *HOORAY!* I woulda been miserable had I not been able to get that. I'm such a baby when it comes to pain. I also went and got my pre-admittance paperwork so I can avoid a ton of paperwork when I go into labor. Then sat and talked to a woman who was taking the GTT as well. Alina was cracking her up, she would walk by and try to walk off with the womans purse and be a big girl. Shes such a silly kid. Then came the joy of getting my blood drawn again. Took 3, yes THREE times to get it this time. My poor arms look like pincushions, or a vampire got them. Either way...not fun.

Now we're back at home relaxing and enjoying our last night at home for a bit.

I'll post more later probably!

Silly Alina Marie video and tax stuff..

Well I had intended on getting the video uploaded sooner than now, but its been one of those evenings.

We had a tax appointment at 515 pm today, we didn't actually get seen until a little after 6. So that was just wonderful. Alina was grouchy, hungry and tired by that point so it was miserable for us. She luckily fell asleep in the middle of us doing the taxes and so we got them done with a few minutes of quiet. Cost $180 to get our taxes done, how crazy is that?!?!!?! At least we're getting a pretty decent amount back, so that makes us happy. We'll be buying Alina a toddler bed soon after we get those back so we can use the crib for her little brother.

Watched American Idol tonite, that was entertaining as usual. Some of the people on there are crazy, I shouldn't be surprised though since they were filming in Vegas. This year could actually be a good one with some of the contestants I've seen thus far. We'll see though after they cut a bunch of people in Hollywood.

Anyway, here the link to that video of Alina, hopefully someone will get a laugh off of it...she is something else. I forgot Alina and the kitten were playing on here too. They are both silly.

http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=10941&cdate=20060130

Its too quiet online, noone to talk to or IM with...:( Hopefully someone will come online soon. I had a blog quite a while ago, but I forgot the password to it...so I started a new one.

Today has been a pretty ordinary day. Hubby is still on leave, which is nice. Its great having him home during the day to hang out with us and play with Alina some. Alina is LOVING having all the attention from daddy. We actually got paid today, HOORAY! Got shorted money though because hubby was in the field for a week, so the Marine Corps took money from this paycheck to pay for the little food he ate out there. $62, sheesh its nuts. We went grocery shopping at the commissary, stayed under $100 so I'm happy. Technically I -should- be doing laundry right now before we leave for our trip tomorrow, but I really don't want to. I'll do it tonite after we get back from doing taxes. I'm looking foward to getting those done, it'll be nice to have an extra 3.5 grand to pay off debt with.

Not much going on here though. We got the Superyard XT play area for Alina, so we can section off part of the living room for her and she won't be able to get into everything. Thusfar she loves it, so thats good. She is a full on walker now, makes me sad. I miss her being little and needing mommy. Now she is everywhere and such a trouble maker. Its a fun age. We got a cute video of her today while we were upstairs. She was running back and forth in the hallway and would walk up to the bedroom doors, hit her head on them and go "OW!" and laugh. She is something else. I'll have to upload it later and let ya'll see it. Baby #2 seems to be doing fine. Making me sick as usual. I was sooooo hoping that this condition would be gone by now, but of course not. I have an OB appt tomorrow, which I'm oh so looking foward to. *rolls eyes* I get my glucose test done then. Blah.

Anyway, I'll chat with everyone later.
