Update on me and baby..

Well after my trip to L&D earlier this week, things haven't calmed down that much. I saw the OB at the NH one last time on Weds, and things went alright there. The nurse/midwife I saw wasn't concerned about the pre-term labor stuff at all, said it was normal. Checked the baby and sent me on my way. I made an appointment with my new doc off base and saw her on Thursday. Thus far I'm not fond of my new doc at all and I'm working on getting my hospital switched to the one in Palm Springs. I told her my history and what was going on with everything including the PTL. She told me that since it was my second baby that the dialating/effacing were completely normal and it was nothing to worry about. Also I was informed that I was not to go to the L&D on base anymore since I was disengaged from that hospital for my pregnancy. I told her I was still having the contractions quite a bit, and asked what I should do if they started getting to be more frequent and intense. She told me that I was to drink two large bottles of water in an hour, and if I wasn't peeing every few minutes, then I knew what was wrong and to just drink more water, and don't worry about going into L&D at either hospital there is no need for that. She also wanted me to wait another 3 weeks before coming in again. After being there and meeting her I just didn't feel comforatable leaving my OB care in her hands and I spent most of the day today getting that taken care of.Today Dustin and I spent most of the day running around the hospital trying to get the hospital switched to the one in Palm Springs. The patient rep we worked with was great and helpful and finally got everything on the right track for us. She also had me go up to L&D to get checked out and see how everything was. As I knew, I was contracting pretty often, not too severe but they were coming up on the monitor. The baby is doing fine, his heartrate was perfect. I was dehydrated yet again and so I got hooked up to an IV again. They gave me another shot of the same stuff I had on Monday night to stop the contractions and also gave me a perscription of procardia to help with stopping the contractions. I haven't dialated or effaced anymore at this point, but who knows what could happen in the coming days. I'm on orders not to be picking up Alina much at all and to take it easy, and of course drink a ton of water. Though they understand that with the hyperemesis being the way it is that isn't gonna be very easy for me and I'll more than likely end up in the hospital again. I'm also not to go to the L&D anymore unless its an emergency. I also have to keep my appt with the new doc on the 9th of March, unless my referral comes in before that and I can get seen at Desert Regional sooner.

Also I should have some new pics of miss Alina tomorrow, we're picking up her new toddler bed.
